Mad about Minibeasts!

Date: 22nd Apr 2025 @ 8:51pm

Today the children came back to school to find a muddy note in the classroom. It said - Minibeast hunt - Go in the garden, what will you see?

In groups, the children went into the garden, they took pens and minibeast hunt checklists and searched for minibeasts.

Some children thought they might be looking for something tiny whilst others thought they could be looking for big monsters!

Eventually the children discovered the book 'Mad about Minibeasts'. Together we read the book and spotted the different rhymes. The children discovered that minibeasts are infact insects like worms, spiders and snails. They searched under rocks and in the trees and leaves and found some minibeasts.

This week the children will continue to read the book and spot the different rhyming words.
