British Science Week
Date: 14th Mar 2025 @ 11:05am
This week in school we have been celebrating British Science Week. This year's theme was all about change and adapt. On Wednesday we had a visitor called Katje who came from Science Boffins and started the day with an amazing assembly. She showed us some investigations and explained the science behind them. We saw water that changed into foam, exploding liquids and liquids that turned into a solid! It was lots of fun!
Back in the classroom we discussed proeprties of materials and went on a hunt. Then we thought about how some materials can change into a solid and conducted a freezing liquids experiment. We predicted which liquids would freeze and then put them in the freezer for one day. Then we looked at each container to find out the results!
